Activity:

Voltage-gated channel (Kv1.3) blocker. rBmKTX blocks Kv1.3 channels with IC50 of 0.0019 nM.

Bioassay:

BmKTX inhibits Kv1.3 channels heterologously expressed in HEK-293 cells.

 

Kv1.3 channel currents, before and after application of 100pM BmKTX. Kv1.3 channel currents were elicited by depolarizing the voltage steps of 200 ms from the holding potential -80 mV to +50 mV.
