Recombinant Protease

Proteases are indispensable tools in biotechnology, medication, and research. Whether recombinant protein processing, disease mechanism studying, or novel drug development, fundamental protein breakdown. Morebio provides high-quality proteases with precision and reliability for a wide range of experimental requirements.

Proteases (proteolytic enzymes) can degrade proteins into smaller polypeptides or amino acids. These proteases are utilized to develop pro-forms of antibody and protein therapeutics, which are designed to activate only within diseased tissues. In addition, proteases also play a key role in antibody characterization, protein fusion, and antibody-drug conjugation.

Multiple Fermentation System

Morebio has the current protease production in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic expression systems. In prokaryotic systems, E.coli is the predominant host. While Yeasts are the commonly used in eukaryotic systems.

Prokaryotic Expression

Prokaryotic expression is simultaneous transcription and translation in the cytoplasm due to lack of nucleus. While eukaryotic expression separate these processes with transcription in the nucleus and translation int the cytoplasm.

Prokaryotic System
  • Transcription and translation
    occurs imultaneously in the cytoplasm
  • Primarily regulated at the
    transcriptional level
  • Minimal processing of mRNA
  • Less complex and more rapid

Eukaryotic Expression

Eukaryotic expression involves more complex regulation and post-transcription modification, like glycosylation, acetylation, phosphorylation, hydroxylation. While prokaryotic expression is regulated primarily at the transcription level.

Eukaryotic System
  • Transcription is in the nucleus, translation is in the cytoplasm
  • Regulated at multiple levels
  • Extensive processing, including: splicing, processing, capping, and polyadenylation
  • More complex and highly regulated
