Aprotinin
Premium Protease
Recombinant Aprotinin
Aprotinin (Iniprol) is a competitive and reversible serine protease inhibitor, it can bind with serine proteases to form stable complexes and block the active sites of these enzymes. As this reversible binding, most aprotinin-protease complexes dissociate under extreme pH conditions (pH<3.0, or pH>10.0). Aprotinin can inhibit chymotrypsin, trypsin, plasmin, and kallikrein, but cannot inhibit Factor Xa, thrombin, pepsin, papain, and carboxypeptidases A and B.
Morebio recombinant Aprotinin is produced in E.coli under GMP regulations. Our aprotinin is free from animal-derived components, which eliminates the risk of contamination with animal-derived viruses.

Structure
Aprotinin is consisting of 58 amino acids with three cross-linked disulfide bonds, it is a monomeric globular protein derived from bovine lung. Recombinant Aprotinin has the same amino acid sequence as bovine lung-derived Aprotinin, and exhibits the same enzymatic properties. It is applied as a substitute for animal-derived Aprotinin in various biotechnological processes, like: activity inhibition of serine protease in protein production and cell culture.
