N-Glycosidase F

PNGase F is referred to as peptide N-glycosidase F. It is an amidase of the peptide-N4-(N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminyl)asparagine amidase class. PNGase F can cleave high mannose, hybrid, and complex oligosaccharide glycoproteins linked by asparagine residues from N-linked glycoproteins and glycopeptides. The cleavage site of PNGase F is the amide bond between the inner N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) and asparagine residue of glycoproteins or glycopeptides, the asparagine on proteins will convert into aspartic acid after enzymatic hydrolysis.
